I regained my sketching mojo in 2017, thanks to a trip to Iran, where I was inspired by mosques, wind catcher towers, and bridges to do some of my best (and lengthiest) sketches to date.

Thankfully I kept this going in Iceland.

Back in Auckland, drawing in Ponsonby and Britomart.

In Western Australia, on a trip from Perth to Broome.

Double theatre sketch, of BATS in Wellington and the Basement in Auckland.

Final sketches for 2017 were on my trip around South America and Antarctica, though both were of the beautiful Chilean town of Castro.
