South Island from the road

One of the downsides of travelling around New Zealand is the amount of driving (though it’s nothing compared to travelling around North or South America), with only a handful of long distance trains. Being a passenger while someone else is driving isn’t so bad though, particularly when armed with a telephoto lens and stunning scenery. Here are a selection of photos taken from the road heading around the South Island.
