The drive to Eghlid from Kahran was rather nice…

There isn’t much in Eghlid, a small Iranian town. It was an evening stopover, but offered enough sights to interest for a few hours, including a surprising amount of street art.

The main mosque is rather attractive.

It is also a shrine to 200 martyrs of the horrific Iran-Iraq war.

Behind the mosque is a hill offering great views of the town as the sun set.

While out running I came across an unusual monument in the town centre, and headed up a couple of hills for more panoramic views.
