Esfahan was surprisingly the only place in Iran I saw a decent sunset, usually it just disappeared into a dusty, possibly pollution related, haze. By the Zayandeh River though I saw a couple of crackers, firstly by the Se-o-Se Pol Bridge.
Secondly further down the river by the Khaju Bridge, including a kite with LEDs on the wire.
It was only once the sun set however that the bridges really came alive, thanks to some effective lighting.
The Iman Square was also far more alluring at night, with a handy reflecting pool in the middle replacing the historic polo grounds, and the beautifully lit Ali Qapu Palace, Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque, and Imam Mosque.
