Other than four trips to Australia and my current trip around South America, from Santiago to Buenos Aires via Antarctica on a cruise (posts to come in January), I made three other overseas trips this year…

Iran
Somewhere I’d long wanted to visit, and yet somehow it completely exceeded my already high expectations. Iran is home to an incredible abundance of history, architecture, food, natural beauty, and the friendliest people in the world.

Iceland
Somewhere I appreciate far more looking back on it than I did at the time, a victim at the time of high expectations and unnecessary comparisons with New Zealand. It is an amazing and unique place, wonderfully photogenic if subject to highly variable weather.

Britain
My annual trip home to visit family and enjoy the huge amount of history and architecture packed into a relatively small place. I did my usual day trip to London, and spent time near the coast in Dorset.

  1. These are wonderful! They make me want to visit the same places. Would it be possible to label where they are from? It would be much appreciated by this particular admirer of your work!

    1. Thank you Sarah. Glad you enjoyed 🙂 I’m travelling atm, free wifi in Argentina isn’t great… any specific photos you were wondering about?
