Pah Homestead

Home to the Wallace Collection, one of the largest private art collection in New Zealand, the Pah Homestead is the perfect use for what was once one of the largest private houses in Auckland. Built between 1877 and 1879, over the years the building has changed hands a number of times before being bought by Auckland City Council in 2002. It was restored and reopened in 2010, since when it has hosted frequently changing and wide ranging exhibitions.

Outside in the gardens are more permanent sculptures, and great views as the Homestead sits at the top of Monte Cecilia Park, looking out toward the extinct volcano of One Tree Hill.

They change their exhibitions more frequently than most galleries, here are a few images from over the years.
