Milwaukee Art Museum

I have been to many amazing art galleries but few as stunning as the Milwaukee Art Museum. One of the largest museums in the United States, it is home to nearly 25,000 works of art, from Egyptian mummies to modern installations.

From downtown Milwaukee there is pedestrian access to the museum over the striking Reiman Bridge.

The bulk of the collection is housed in the brutalist 1950s Kahler Building but it’s the 2001 Quadracci Pavilion that really catches the eye, with a spectacular entrance.

The corridors are equally eye catching, as are the views over Lake Michigan.

To end with a few works of art that caught my eye from the pleasingly eclectic and high quality collection.
