Hamilton Gardens

One of the finest gardens in New Zealand, and probably the best thing to do in New Zealand’s fourth largest city, Hamilton Gardens are both varied and beautiful.

There are a number of enclosed gardens, each a good representation of the country / style of influence, including Japanese, English, Chinese, Indian and Italian.

The Te Parapara Garden is a wonderful native New Zealand style garden.

The Tudor Garden was random fun, as was the Russian Log Bell Tower.

The gardens run alongside the mighty Waikato River, the longest in New Zealand.
