Quite a different experience to Kakadu National Park, Litchfield National Park is 13 times smaller, but home to many more accessible waterfalls, and is generally a much busier place, being half the distance from Darwin. I enjoyed my time exploring the park, but it felt more of a stop, take photos, move on, experience than the more immersive Kakadu.
To start with the best known (and seemingly most popular) sights, the impressive Wangi Falls, which many people were floating toward on floatation devices.

A less busy (at least first thing) and more enjoyable experience was Florence Falls, reached by a more interesting walk.

Tjaetaba Falls can only be seen from a distance, and there wasn’t that much water in September. The park would be better visited earlier in the year, sooner after the wet season.

Buley Rockhole was rather lovely.

There was less to see at Walker Creek.

I took my drone up to see the landscape, pretty vast!

To finish with the unusual Magnetic Termite Mounds, so named as they lined up perfectly north / south to manage the heat inside.

There are also some normal termite mounds.
